The handling of his situation has been disjointed to say the least. There's been some conflicting information. Many sources have said Dylan's injuries are severe, including Dylan's publicist, who released a short, one-sentence statement very recently (last week, I think). Giancarlo Esposito said the same a couple of weeks after it happened in March. So we've been told the damage is severe. Ok.
But then on May 10th it comes out that Dylan is in talks to star in the film American Assassin, which then showed up on his IMDB. Then a few days later, Jeff Davis says Dylan's "...in perfect condition, but he's just not doing fine enough to do any stunts." Also a couple other cast members from Teen Wolf said there is no truth to the rumor that Dylan won't be back to film season 6, and that's he's due back on set very soon.
This past week, WorksafeBC released the findings of their investigation into this and found both the director, Wes Ball, and the studio, 20th Century Fox, to have been negligent. Apparently they had rehearsed a scene, and then scrapped that scene for a different one, and gave Dylan insufficient instruction for the new scene, which involved him hopping from one moving vehicle to another. Also there was a problem with his harness being too short, that played a significant part in the resulting incident.
That's all I know. There's some fog surrounding this. Perhaps part of the reason for that is legal complications? If his injuries are as serious as some have suggested, and it affects his future ability to work, it's possible that a lawsuit is coming. I doubt it, though. I agree that it's strange that there have been no pictures or video, no social media postings, nothing from him since this happened. I mean I get the need to have him keep a low profile while this all plays out, but he seems to be completely off the grid. If he's really ok, then why is that necessary?
