But do they mean his 'return' is the episodes for season 6 he filmed before his accident? Is he actually on set now?

Jeff Davis says that the Season 6 stories "will revolve around Stiles". I take that to mean that he will be in all of the episodes now being filmed. I take the phrase "officially returning" to mean officially returning to Season 6 of the series, not just in the first two episodes.

But the rumour is Stiles will be kidnapped or go missing thus O'Brien actually not being in the series outside of the episodes filmed in February? This means the season will revolve around him, but he won't be in it!

Those rumors may or may not be true. I'm thinking they are. The thing is, there is still no evidence whatsoever that Dylan O'Brien has returned to set to continue filming season six of Teen Wolf. The only thing we've heard is everyone from Jeff Davis to Melissa Ponzio saying Stiles will be in season 6. Well we already know that. He already filmed at least 2 episodes before his accident on the Maze Runner set. And all the recent pictures and news articles with updates saying Dylan is back, offer no current proof of that. What Jeff Davis said is technically true, but doesn't actually say he's returned to filming Teen Wolf. I think Dylan hasn't returned because he's still recovering, but Jeff Davis and others want to mislead about this, because they want to ensure people will watch the show anyway, even though fan favorite, Stiles, will barely be in it.

That was my theory. It's a bit mean of them to use Dylan's accident to drum up interest in the series! My only hope is that somehow he surprises everyone and shows up at Comic Con tomorrow. That would be amazing.

All rumors. All stuff that people are making up. I'll go with what Jeff said in the interview. He said Stiles would be in Teen Wolf Season 6. Jeff should know.

Hard to believe they would use Dylan just to promote 6th season. I hope Jeff means Dylan is coming back physically.
