Iwan sounds more like Youwon or(Eu-wan) and Rheon i think would sound more like Ree-on

Source - I'm welsh, but it is not my first language so i could be wrong.

He says his name at the beginning of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGhjQAudCvY

You know, I've been lucky. Somebody up there likes me.
Somebody down here, too.

I always thought it was like 'Ih-win Rhey-on' for some reason. Don't know if that's right or not though. I'm not welsh and he always mumbles when he says it so it's hard to be sure.

reply

The way he says it in interviews is Eu-won Ree-on.

Many Americans tend to pronounce things by their first letter or if it rhymes with words spelled similarly. Ian sometimes is "I-An" instead of "E-An."
Also they might pronounce "Leigh" as "Lay" instead of "Lee."
Most don't realize that even the English language has many alphabets in other countries, where each letter is pronounced differently.
Not all Americans but many.

I know this is a couple years later, but your link made me like Ramsay Snow. And I don't know how I feel about that.

Where is the madness that you promised me? Where is the dream for which I paid dearly?

The "English language has many alphabets in other countries?!?" What in the world are you saying? The English language, and the Romance languages, use the ROMAN alphabet. Here and there an accent is added or a runic letter like "y" makes its way in. But no other "alphabets" are used for English.
