Got a Taste of Her Own Medicine
Ok, this is not that new story, but I just couldn’t help to comment and gloat seeing that nobody had mentioned it here yet.
So, Jameela was said to be a judge or a host of a show called Legendary about voguing and there was a backlash about it because LGBT activists on Twitter didn’t think it was her place to be there and that she was taking the spotlight of someone from the community.
“The public response to Jamil’s appointment focused on her perceived lack of ties to its subject matter. On Wednesday, she tweeted a statement in which she came out as queer, saying that she had kept her sexuality a secret “because I was scared of the pain of being accused of performative bandwagon jumping, over something that caused me a lot of confusion, fear and turmoil when I was a kid”.”

Yeah, it has nothing with performative bandwagon jumping!
I find it funny that they turned on her as I remember reading she was very vocal on social media about canceling J.K. Rowling.

And this one is from December 2020, it seems she changed her tune a bit about canceling people after there was a backlash about her in February. 😂

I liked Jameela in The Good Place and I like voguing, but now I don’t have any desire to watch the show, she has put me off it.
I will stick with Pose.
