Since when does Johnny Storm HAVE to be white? Now I see what you're saying regarding Trini because they are using an Asian name with a Mexican actor. The comment about Johnny though seems a little bigoted though.

maybe the OP just wants an actor that looks like the character,but I guess nothing requires him to be White

They also made the Black Ranger Asian,The Pink Ranger Indian and Blue Ranger Black
Trini was written specifically as Asian Character and Zack was written specifically as a Black character,so it is werid that they cast Asian and Mexican actors to play them,but I guess they are worried because back in the day there was a little backlash with an Asian actress as the Yellow Ranger and a Black Actor as the Black Ranger. They should have just made them original characters instead of having them play MMPR characters,maybe they will make some changes to the script before shooting

Johnny was white in the comics, that's why he should have been white, just like the original yellow Ranger was Asian, so the new one should be Asian. It's the exact same principle. If Johnny storm doesn't HAVE to be white, why does the yellow Ranger HAVE to be Asian? Your stance is contradicting. I can't believe you called his statement bigoted. I bet you just wake up itching to call someone racist.

To add onto that: Audrey Marchionno - the actress who played Trini in the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers pitch pilot (credited at the time as Audri Dubois) - is Hispanic-American.
