I was stuck in a van and someone played her stuff. Sounds just like all the other glam pop music. She does not lack music ability. But this music is pretty brainless and stupid. Then again, so is most pop music.
Not sure what the deal is with her fans. Perhaps it's the live performances.
Funnily enough I had the same reaction when Gaga first came on to the scene. For some reason I had a strong negative reaction to Poker Face and wrote her off, a little unfairly, honestly.
It wasn’t until I saw her Monster’s Ball concert on TV that I was won over by her undeniable talent. She crushed that show! Since then I’ve discovered how diverse she is as an artist and I have nothing but respect for her.
Still don’t like Poker Face, though 😆
