To watch "Hannah Gadsby: Douglas" on Netflix. You win a laurel wreath of victory if you watch the whole thing. I couldn't make it past 20 minutes after not laughing once.
shareI watched on of her shows... forget which... and same. She could have been reading a phone book for all the impact her performance had on me. I didn't find it offensive or anything like that... it was just bland as porridge.
shareyup. dull. I tried to watch her, didn't snicker or even smile once. just dull. wasn't offended in anyway, it was just boring, unfunny, noise that I soon tuned out.
never was a Dave C fan, but watched some of his stuff and laughed many times. even at things I should probably have been offended by, but, see, I have a sense of humor about everything. except things that are not funny.
In "Douglas", Gadsby warns us there will be a Louis CK joke near the end of the set. I know from "Nanette" that Gadsby is a #MeToo fanatic
I didn't want to stick around for a mean-spirited joke implying Louis is some despicable perv just coz his kink is jacking off in front of women who date him.
