Just recently discovered him, he is really great movie and videogame buff. very interesting content found a lot of great old horror classics out because of him and a lot of great videogames. became a videogame collector recently after being inspired by people like him and have over a thousand old school games atm
shareYeah he's a YT legend. I don't dig his off the cuff content like the movie discussions with his friends or gaming with Mike (can't stand Mike , he's such a know it all 1uper). Just don't think James is very good unscripted. His scripted content is fantastic. Movie reviews, AVGN's, all that stuff.
shareyeah idk i kinda like Mike even tho he has the eyes of a crackhead lol. he left the channel now so luckily for you he is no longer there. i think his friends are all great personalities that add to the channel especially that semi fat italian or albanian looking dude or that pretty super fat comic book looking ass nerd. the only nerd that i think is the weakest link is the fake biker/hippy nerd but he is not so bad really and is pretty funny during the commercials especially and deservers his place too. but you are right his best most legendary content is truelly his scripted reviews of old school videogames and movies, that is where he is most entertaining. but the unscripted content although not as funny is still very educational
shareThe only friend of his I like is Bootsy who Mike ended up pushing out of the AVGN'verse due to drama. Bootsy did a very short lived segment called Bootsy beats. Bootsy beats battletoads is great. Mike seems like he has a very know it all, shitty, bitchy, hyper sensitive attitude, know it all attitude. Watch his videos, these character flaws all become extremely apparent once you're aware of them.

shareRolfe is very entertaining as the AVGN, and I heard he was an amateur filmmaker, too! He's a huge fan of old movies and has made several himself, and his work has gone into AVGN for the special effects sections.
What I learnt from the AVGN is how actually crappy so many NES games were, especially from Laughing Joking Numbnuts. It baffles me how US kids could still call the Nintendo a fond memory of their childhood when they had to put up with so much dreck, and AVGN explains the many bad and few good points of these games with wonderfully colourful language.
FOR EASTER I GOT MY DAUGHTER THE ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD THE MOVIE ON BLU RAY...AND THE NERD JAM PACKED IT WITH 10 HOURS OF BONUS CONTENT...MY DAUGHTER LOVED IT.
