Absolutely phenomenal performance. Granted I've only seen the first two episodes, but have been blown away by her acting skills. Her eyes express so much emotion and intensity. From what I've seen, this actress deserves an Emmy nomination next summer. Bravo, Claire!

shareGreat performance in The Crown. Not at all an easy role to pull off - those non-committal but somehow meaningful looks that the Queen puts out. Claire says more with a flicker of her eyes than many actors can do with a hundred words. Absolutely brilliant - well done Claire!

shareI agree with you all. She is phenomenal in The Crown. From seeing some interviews she is very prone to giggling which I find refreshing in that she doesn't take herself too seriously. In her performance however it's clear how much thought, preparation and commitment she has to her craft.
I find the whole production exemplary and arguably the best production that has come from the UK. Some have compared it to Downton Abbey and as enjoyable and enduring as that is, The Crown excels in every area and performance. There is no weak point in my opinion.
She`s pretty much a lock for an Emmy nomination I`d say.
shareYes! Emmy worthy performance 🏆 I have watched 5 episodes in UHD. She so subtly inflects the emotions of her character. Her eyes are not only expressive, but absolutely gorgeous. As do those of Liz Taylor, her eyes defy one's attribution of color. Of course I will watch all following episodes. Then I'll go back to look for more of her work.
