How exactly did she 'steal the show'?

Watched the movie a second time and I don't get it. I thought she was a poorly-casted snooze as WW, but opinions vary (hell, I actually liked eisrnberg's LL.)

So I disliked her performance in BvS, but some people on here who disagree with that opinion go way over the top saying she was the 'best' and 'stole the show.' How in heaven did she steal the show? What moment in your mind convinced you of this? I am truly curious to understand that opinion.

I liked both Gal Gadot's WW and Eisenberg's LL, immensely. I also likeed everyone else's performance. As for when she stole the show, the moment for me was her steely "Mr. Wayne" after telling Bruce Wayne she'd returned his stolen flashdrive to his car's glove compartment. I just LIKED her right after that. Don't ask me why, it was visceral. I just liked the way she delivered that line and her whole exchange with Ben Affleck. There was chemistry there. And then when she jumped down in front of the batmobile with her block against Doomsday with her strong glare....sealed the deal for me. I was totally fine with her as Wonder Woman at that point.

I don't know why either. She delivered her lines blandly/no presence during the dinner party and that scene where she danced or was talking to Bruce about those pictures of her that Lex took or has.

Plus she didn't even portray WW correctly, at least not the one that was portrayed consistently for decades before the New 52 butchered her. WW truthfully wouldn't be that cocky or even being so smug as someone could've potentially killed her (when Doomsday tossed her a couple yards and she just smiled then cut his arm off, hell she never end consistently had a sword until 5 years ago).

But it is what it is. I feel like they said she was good because it was the first time WW was on screen. Ben Affleck had more presence than her, despite more dialouge at least I felt Ben could actually deliever his lines with some emotion. Gal was just boring, robot-like and no emotion. Plus her accent.

The only good part which didn't even portray the WW that most people probably know was that smug WW during fighting Doomsday.

Quick question starxtina. You seem to be making it personal. Did Gal Gadot wrong you in another life? Just checking.

No. What I don't understand is why they put this gal (pun intended) on a pedestal and act like she was the best actress for WW when she, delivered her lines almost as flatly as Cavill and yet, all I heard was Cavill getting crap for his role tbh.

Also, it's sad that likely the DCEU and comics will most likely start to coincide with other, this Wonder Woman will most likely start taking over the comics WW in looks and personalty. They've already rebooted her costume and her attitude to an extent.

I can only agree with you. she just had a fight scene and evryone is "woooow so good". she wasn't even that much important for the plot

Even though she just had a few scenes, I think she did well. When her solo film comes out, she will silence some of these haters.

She sucked, to skinny, can't act worth *beep*
