She's in wayyy over her head

You just feel nervous for her whenever she appears on SNL and you’ve got to wonder why she was even recruited for the show in the first place. She is simply outmatched by every other performer on the show, including Abby Elliot, who, despite much criticism, has still stretched comedically speaking far more than Slate. And Nasim Pedrad seems to be pulling her weight as well. Her impressions are good, and she's got the comedy chops to deserve a presence on SNL. Not so for Slate who seems to always have the jitters whenver she is on screen. Even Enteratinment Weekly feels pity for her. Someone else said that SNL is probably going for girls who are young and attractive which explains the slew of recent hosts and the purging of former members Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins. While Pedrad is undeniably gorgeous, AT LEAST SHE'S FUNNY TOO!
