Though an actress by trade, Nicole can also sing and dance, I can see her possibly taking on a musical, a role in Lee Daniels' upcoming Empire spin-off, perhaps?

Why would kit be cancelled over one character? Jenny has always been a more interesting character. If you like the show for what it is you will continue watching.
