Deathtrap

I went to see him in Deathtrap in the West End last night, and would advise anyone who's in the area to go and see it - both he and the play were fantastic. I went to the stage door afterwards and he was really sweet and friendly, and he was more than happy to sign my programme and take a photo with me (and with every other person there who asked).

Couldn't agree more - I saw him last friday and I'm going again this Friday - loved the play, met him two days ago after the show in torrential rain and he just stood there taking pics and siging things - soo nice, and it was the day before press night.

That's great! I can't wait to see it, I just booked my ticket for next week :) Ever since I first read that he was going to be in a play in september, I made a mental note to go and see it. I love going to the theatre, there's something about watching a live play, that totally engrosses you.

Where exactly is the stage door exit? Is it difficult to find? It would be cool to see him in person, he seems like a really nice guy.

If you go to the left hand side of the main entrance, you go past a number of blue doors on your right. Take the first right around the back of the theatre. There's a small courtyard-type area with a cafe in the corner. The stage door for the Wyndham Theatre is just opposite that of the Noel Coward Theatre, and I'm fairly sure that both are clearly labelled.

Thanks so much! :)

If you want a tip as well not too many people do it - go before the show, as there's no one really around. if your going for a 7:30 show he gets there between 6:30 and 7 :)

ah good to know thanks so much :) i would probably be too shy to say anything to him lol.

I went to see the play today (weds matinee show) and it was great! I really enjoyed it. I'm so glad i knew nothing of the play, so advise for anyone planning on watching it, don't read anything about it!

Then afterwards, I went to the stage doors, and luckily there were a few other people standing and waiting.

And I got to meet Jonathan Groff, he was so nice!! He made time for every single person that was standing there. Then came my turn, I have never gone to the stage door after watching plays so this was my first time. He was so nice, I said to him " you were brilliant! I really enjoyed the play" He smiled warmly and said thank you. and then signed my sketchbook (i just randomly chose my blank sketchbook for him to autograph). He was really nice, made an effort to look at everyone in the eye whilst talking. Meeting him was definately the cherry on top after watching the play. I had pretty good seats too, could see facial expressions and everything, important in a play like this. But meeting him in real life was definately the highlight for me! It was so surreal having watched him on Glee and then standing right next to him.

p.s He is really good looking! It was so cool to meet him in real life.

Thanks again to little miss chocolate who told me where to go via the stage doors.

And a big hello to the lovely girls from NJ I met whilst we were standing around! :) It was lovely meeting you all.

And for anyone who is planning on seeing the play, have a great time!
