Do you think Aidan Turner (He in Poldark) is hot?

Yes, and yes. I think what makes him so hot is that he's just really interesting looking. He's not the normal handsome face that you can take or leave, he's just fascinating no matter how he wears his hair or what part he's playing. But it's really his acting that's so convincing that makes him so appealing. I never heard of him before watching Poldark, but I sat up and took notice as soon as it hit my screen. "This is Ross Poldark?" I asked myself. "This is going to be really good!" And it was. 👏 It's also nice to know he seems like a really nice cheerful guy when he's not acting and has a normal outlook on life. Plus, he's into saving the Arctic. Anyone who cares about the environment gets extra points in my book. 😊

I do think Aidan Turner is hot. The why is difficult. What makes someone appealing is complex and not just the physical.

I normally don't fangirl so this is unusual for me, especially since I am a middle-aged, happily married woman who is vaguely embarrassed by my participation in fandom . My "usual type" is blond with little body hair, so Aidan Turner is not my usual type. There is something undeniably appealing about him, which is a combination of many things. Superficially - I love the curly locks, preferably long but short curls are good too. His hazel eyes (and they are hazel according to a tweet by his GF Sarah Greene a year or so ago) with their long lashes are mesmerizing. Aidan is tall enough at 5'11" and has a beautiful fit body, muscular but not over worked. He looks to have very "kissable lips". He is not classically handsome but he can be described as a example of masculine beauty.

He is a talented and versatile actor. Aidan has an extremely expressive face and facility with nonverbal communication that is very natural. He is charismatic on screen and in person. I had the pleasure of attending the Apple Q & A in NYC and was not disappointed in the least. His accent is adorable and I could listen to him read the dictionary very happily. He is articulate and courteous. He does not seem to have a huge ego or a great sense of self-importance but seems like a friendly and down to earth guy. He seems respectful to his family/friends and maintains his privacy without being rude. He exhibits a sense of humor and there are many pictures, videos, and interviews where Aidan is quick to laughter, which is very appealing to me. He has been with the same girlfriend since late 2010, frequently separated by long distances for considerable periods of time, which signals to me he knows that relationships worth having take work and nurturing - a more sexy trait than jumping in and out of bed/relationships.

So hot in the physical sense and very attractive in the whole. Plus he is one of those men who just project sex appeal, ooze sex, sex on legs or however one wants to put it - the man is sexy! (I equate him with Paul Newman sexy although I could never tell you why Paul Newman always did it for me)😍👍

A woman after my own heart. I agree with all of this, especially his lips. You're the first one I've seen mention them, but they're just as you say and something I noticed right away. His eyes are hazel? They must be pretty dark hazel then. They seem almost black. Anyway, I'm jealous as hell you got to see him in person. I would love to do that, and it probably won't happen. Haring down to LA (if he were to be there for something) to see a star is something I'm just getting a tad old to do, but I guess you never know. I would see him in a play in a heartbeat, too, though I would guess he won't be doing any in California anytime soon. I used to love Paul Newman, too. Gorgeous man. Though his eyes were blue, he had that same kind of twinkle Aidan has. And btw, I'm even older than you, so I really relate to the two ladies doing the Poldark Dish recaps. LOL Oh well, it doesn't hurt anyone, and it kind of makes life just a little more enjoyable to behold such beauty in a man I'll never see in person but fortunately can watch over and over on my TV. Maybe it's a little weird, I don't know. But I really can't help myself. 😜

Regarding the hazel eyes. I always thought his eyes were hazel but was reading everywhere Aidan's eyes were brown with the odd mention of them as hazel. Almost my entire family have some variation of hazel eyes so I am used to looking at them. His eyes are very similar to my father's - a large golden brown ring around the pupil with green along the outside. Mine are also similar with a little more green. How hazel eyes can be perceived depends a lot on the amount of light, what kind of light and even what colors a person is wearing. Aidan Turner's eyes (and I admit to spending way too much time looking at them) in close ups vary in color from darker brownish to golden to green/gold with hints of gray. I never knew if it was due to production/lighting/color grading techniques or was it his natural color. I happened upon a post containing a tweet from a fairly long time ago of a fan asking Sarah Greene what color Aidan's eyes actually were. She had tweeted back hazel; I went "I knew it!".

I love the Poldark dish ladies and am right along with them as a Cornwall Couger. And you're right it doesn't hurt anyone and it does add enjoyment and fun in my life so I'm reconciled to appreciating a sexy, talented young actor and my husband is good-naturedly bemused.

LOL! I have hazel eyes, too, which is why I didn't think his were. They sure don't look like hazel in the Hobbit movies. But I'm with you, whatever color they are, they're beautiful and lovely to look at. Sometimes they catch him just right in Poldark, and his eyes are just to die for. I have sometimes wondered how someone on TV could provoke such an emotional reaction in me. My husband is also bemused ;) but then I do try to keep my gushing to a minimum when he's around.

Nice to see another Poldark Dish fan. I posted something on the Poldark message boards about it, but not too many people responded about it, so I wasn't sure if that many people had seen them. I loved how they could be so hilarious about the story and characters while not ruining the show for future viewing.

Edit: So, okay, I just went back and looked, and there's a closeup in the beginning in his regimentals where he looks out at the ocean after having heard his father has died, and I can see his hazel eyes in that shot pretty well. It's one of my favorites. They are still a pretty dark hazel if you ask me. Of course, the thing with hazel is it depends on the light what you see. They always look lovely except when they're all covered up with black contact lenses. LOL

Hobbit Special Features - I had to rewind & pause when he was sleeping while waiting during shooting. And it was not acting like that's how he looks like while sleeping??? Seriously! Real Sleeping Beauty lol
