Oops- Cut out of the Harry Potter movies.
Just saw Deathly Hollows part 2 and was surprised to see that he (and Toby Regbo, who I really like) wasn't in it at all. His whole role in part 1 consisted of him posing for a picture.

shareSpoiler, I suppose
I was surprised too--I tried to avoid all the publicity before seeing the movie, so I guess I would have known if I had checked into it. Gellert Grindelwald was huge in the book, bummer they axed him out of the films.
I was wondering what happened and I'd forgotten he was in Part 1 so I was like...what happened?
shareI wondered that too. Wasn't the whole point of filming the last book as two movies so they could include everything that was in the book? That's what the producers said when they first announced it would be done as two films.
Obviously, "everything" didn't mean quite what the word usually means. Maybe they decided Dumbledore's life wasn't important enough to the overall story, or maybe the way they filmed those bits just didn't work well, for some reason. Or maybe ... you don't think it was just because JKR said Dumbledore and Grindelwald were gay, do you? Surely not!!
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
