Worse King Arthur ever

Nothing else to say. IMO, he is totally miscast. There is nothing exciting about him; nothing kingly about him; nothing attractive about him; i.e. nothing to warrant him in this role. His acting isn't even that good. When I started watching "Camelot", I couldn't believe they would cast someone like that in the main role. I like everyone else in their roles but a good King Arthur, he ain't.

I agree with you here. Since this Arthur is written young, I have no problems with his youth per se, but this actor seems far too girly. Likewise, his charisma is woefully lacking. While he might learn leadership, confidence, etc. through experiences in the storyline, I have to be able to believe that the character has some innate personality which would make others want him to succeed. I'm not seeing that here.

It's really bad when every episode I watch is just makes me cringe unless Eva Green or Joseph Fiennes comes onto the screen to chew through the scenery. I can only think this actor was cast in the hopes of pulling in a younger, more misty-eyed audience. It certainly wasn't because he can stand his own with the other leads.

Hopefully the casting director(s) for that show have been fired.

He just needs to learn to keep his !@#$%^& !@#$%^& mouth closed for at least a minute at a time if he's not talking. Actually, I blame the director(s) more than anyone for letting him get away with it. Then there's the script writing which really isn't his fault, although as an actor he should demand better dialog considering the educated background his character is supposed to have. But above all else, he needs to learn to keep his !@#$%^& !@#$%^& mouth closed if he's not trying to catch flies with it.

I think i liked the first two episodes, but they continue with this whole *beep* of romance...etc...so boring...the real Arthur wasn't like that..eh.

Well, the only thing i later like in that show was Fiennes as Merlin wow, so mysterious, he is really good actor !...

I think the critic on the Radio Times said it best that his Arthur always looked like "a teenager who's had his mobile phone taken off him". Totally hopeless and didn't look right, I mean AT ALL. No one can ever get King Arthur right.
