Would LOVE to see her play Nina Simone

Uzo is such a magnificent actress and has a big powerful gorgeous singing voice. After watching the documentary "What Happened, Miss Simone?" it made me think how much I wanted to see her in a biopic about the tragic singer, especially in her later years as she was really struggling with bipolar disorder.

There's been some talk about the Zoe Saldana film (is that ever going to be released?) and while she's a talented actress in her own right she is just absolutely completely wrong for the role. She doesn't resemble her in the slightest! Can she even sing?? Uzo at least has the look, the voice, the strength and has demonstrated she can portray mental illness with depth and tenderness. I think she would just kill it. Who else would like to see this?
