Derrick Sims: Derrick Sims. Cinematographer: Come Morning. While studying journalism, Sims directed a short, civil war film that was selected to play before IMAX revival screenings of Ang Lee's Ride with the Devil (1999). The notoriety of that short soon led to work on War Eagle, Arkansas (2007), and in 2008, Sims served as director of photography on The River Within (2009), his first feature as cinematographer.
