Why does the media let Taylor Swift flex her privilege so much?

I feel like more than anybody Taylor Swift flexes white privilege. I think sometimes "white people" as a whole get blamed for flexing privilege, but I can't think of too many people who do it more than Tay Tay.

Every time she beefs with somebody, she gets to sic her army of fans on them and nobody says shit. Nicki does it too but at least she generally gets the flack that comes along with it, but nobody ever calls out Taylor for doing it.[

I say this because I was just thinking about the two recent "scandals" with her: the fight over her masters with her old label, and that time she called that Netflix show Ginny and Georgia because they made a joke about her.

She tried to make it seem like her old label not selling her her masters was akin to abuse. No, that's what a label does: they pay artists for master recordings. If they let every artist leave out the door with their masters, that will devalue the company. And that means less money to pay the people who work at the label. Which means less of an infrastructure if they're taking a chance on a 15-year-old girl who just wants to write bitter, clingy love songs.

And the show made a throwaway joke about Taylor being a serial dater and she called them sexist. Even though the show is written by two women. Two white women. Who is really your key demo.
