Mellissa McCarthy is right there as well. Just because you are fat and unafraid to make an ass out of yourself does not mean you are actually funny.
If you enjoy slapstick and love watching someone be horrifying and completely oblivious to how they act in social situations, keep on keeping on.
Rebels entire performance at that awards show was just a combo of 'look how ridiculous I look in clothes only skinny people should wear' and 'wow, listen to the crazy things I say with the hole I usually only use for eating'.
I'm not saying fat is not beautiful, I'm not saying she needs to lose weight, I'm just saying that you're riding on the coattails of equal opportunity by getting hired because you're fat and studios will look like they don't discriminate.

You confused the word fact with opinion.

I also can't help but notice the contradiction between title and post. The title says fat does not equal funny, yet here's the quote from the comment/post

'Just because you are fat and unafraid to make an ass out of yourself does mean you are actually funny.'

So which is it? You say fat does not equal funny and then in your actual post you say it DOES mean you are actually funny.

Before you go saying things like this, might want to pick one and make sure what you're typing. ;)

I obviously needed to proofread before I publish. I like to think that the tone of my post made it obvious as to how I feel, but thanks for trying to 'catch me' or something.
There are fat funny people; John Candy, Chris Farley, etc...
But they backed up their slapstick with actual talent. Rebel feels that being annoying and oblivious is comedy. And that works for some people. Again, it's only my opinion.
