Not that popular in France...
In France, Cinema is known as a very difficult world to break through in. Basically, there are two ways to succeed quickly: either you're already a star from another medium or branch (stage/TV/fashion/sport) or you're the son or the daughter of another star. Your name must be famous before making it in the business. I'm not saying this is the way things always are, but this phenomenon is probably more prevalent in France than in US.
Léa has all the talent and looks needed for a great career, but she lately made a statement that made French people cringe, she said that she came from the "school of life" while she was not exactly your typical struggling actress, she comes from a wealthy family of industrials, and more importantly, her grandfather is the CEO of Pathé and her great-uncle the CEO of Gaumont.
Now, maybe she owes everything to her talent ever since she started in Inglourious Basterds, but maybe her name helped her to get this very start (it's not the kind of role to need a huge casting session), and some actresses of equal looks and talents would never get that little boost in their rising career, and sometimes, that's what makes all the difference.
