He received the EMMY...

Few things typify the mainstream news media's utter abandonment of any pretense of objectivity like the fawning coverage they lavished on Andrew Cuomo. The usual troop of leftist celebrities emerged to declare what an awesome and inspiring leader he was, and he got an emmy for press conferences! Has anyone ever gotten an emmy for press conferences before? And all the while, conservatives sources (National Review, et al.) were there, as if at the back of the room raising a hand, saying, "uh, everyone, hey, everyone, uh, this guy forced nursing homes to admit Covid-infected patients and thousands of people died. Doesn't anyone think that's kind of a problem?" No one in the mainstream media wanted to know. Now it turns out that it was even worse than we thought. So many people died that Cuomo and his administration felt the need to underreport the number of deaths lest they be investigated by the Justice Department! If the media had done its job, Cuomo would have been under fire for his nursing home policies from the get go. But this is the new, woke, 21st century, and lefty politicians don't get investigated by the media, they get covered for -- at least until the scandal grows so bad even they can't sweep it under the rug anymore. And even then, you'll note, they find a way to divert your attention from the real issue. Notice the silence on the nursing home issue and book-cooking, while the coverage of the me too scandal is wall to wall? It's bad that Cuomo sexually harassed women, certainly. But I would argue that stubbornly implementing a policy that killed thousands of people, and trying to cover it up is just a little bit worse, n'est pas?
