Interesting choices

Throwing out The Outskirts, which sounds like a feature-length Victorious episode, I'm liking the different roles Avan will be appearing in next year.

Ten Thousand Saints isn't a very big role, but I read the book a couple of years ago and his character of the drug-addled Teddy is the one I remember the best. The transgender role he plays in Shangri-La Suites probably intrigues me the most, but I'm really looking forward to the King Tut miniseries as well, even if he does have to shave his head.

I hope he keeps getting the chance to mix things up. I'm interested to see what other kinds of roles he will choose. Getting to work alongside Sir Ben Kingsley is going to be a big boost to his career.

I love Avan's eagerness to be as diverse and complex as possible in his choice of character portrayals as it is for him to be easy going and laid back in real life. This will keep him from being labeled and boxed in to only being seen in a very limited way when his potential is limitless. I hope he continues to keep taking those risks and pushing himself to new heights.
