Anyone think 25 is overrated?

I mean dont get me wrong I'm a huge fan of hello. But after listening to the album I dont get the hype. Sure she writes it and that's a great attribute for an artist. But I found most of the lyrics too much about angst and lost connections. The writing not that impressive and the sound not the highest quality. I kept thinking this didn't add up to the millions sold or the impression of Adele being a megastar. Not going to go say terrible album but for to break so many records. I dont buy it.

I think 25 lived up the hype and was nearly as good as 21. Hello was a bit overplayed, I found the other songs on the album much better. Send my love, All I Ask, Water under the bridge, Million years ago, Remedy were really good.

I strangely found her video version a lot better than her album version of hello.
I always l liked send my love but found it gets boring quite fast.

The other ones I listened too had too much of a recurring theme. It's fine if you think it was worth the hype but given it sold as one of the greatest albums ever. I think it fell very short.

Her singing has all the subtlety of a burp that originates below one’s belly button. No wonder she’s so popular. She McSings. As for her song writing: Carole King’s not losing any sleep.

Carole is one fine writer.
