I thought left-wingers were supposed to be the tolerant and open-minded ones? Or does this tolerance and open-mindedness only apply to those who share the same exact views of the left as well?

Where have you gotten the idea he has right wing beliefs? The only subject he has talked politically about is the subject of gay marriage and he believes LGBT should have that right. That is not a right wing belief. Just because his dad is a Republican (although is more moderate than a conservative and believes in gay marriage also) doesn't mean Scott is. The fact is that there is no evidence out there about what his political affiliation is or isn't.

Agreed. I know that I don't have the same political beliefs as my father, so I wouldn't just assume Scott does.

You don't need to break out your tired old "the left is supposed to be TOLERANT, but they're not tolerant of my party's blahblahblah" trope. Not every thread is an opportunity for you to break out that old gem.

I honestly don't care about any actors politics. I care more about the craft. If he's a good actor and makes good movies I can look beyond any political disagreement we may have.
