let's put it painfully simply - ANYTHING left of centre can be identified as democrat, anything right republican. It doesn't matter how far left or right someone sits, for they will come under one or the other. Scott's views could literally be millimetres to the right but that would be as "ewww" as say, Trump? Whose views are far more right wing?
What if someone holds Republican views on taxes, but Democrat views on healthcare?
In case anyone hasn't noticed, Politically based generalisations REALLY get on my nerves. I'm also British, so looking at US politics with a keen but neutral eye. Let him vote for who he wants - his decision to vote either way is unlikely to ever personally affect your life, and it's his right to vote as he chooses.
