she is good actor, bad or worse ????

She is a good actress and her acting ability has improved. But this usually happens after 2 or 3 movies. I would say that her general acting skills were poor in standard in 'om shanti om' and 'bachana ae haseeno', but in every movie after then it is up to standard. She will soon be in the same league as kareena and priyanka.

Deepika will have to do more versatile roles as her career progresses, if she is to get in to the forefront of Kareena and Priyanka. Doing "Lafangey parinde" is a wise choice and she seems to have played the role very convingly. I'm glad she has also put on weight too. It was about time.
I hope producers will notice her true acting abilities and give her the opportunity to do more challenging roles. At this point she needs those type of roles rather than the supporting character. One day I hope she will do a lead role in a movie.

Normally I never criticize Bollywood actress, as all they do in movies is look pretty and have to be good in dance but Deepika is worst. I watched her first movie OSO and immediately despise her, after that I give her chance and watch several of her movies and still despise her. Now I avoid her movie for good, ugh and people call Sonam Kapoor a bad actress - she is wayy better than Padukone.

I just saw Bachna Ae Haseeno, and she seemed like a fine actress. I don't get why people criticize so harshly, maybe they are just jealous of their beauty so they have to attack something else. I think she is easily on par with the other BW actresses I've seen (priyanka chopra, sonam kapoor, others).

Deepika's acting is quiet low standard in that movie. But she was looking very young as it was her an early release. She didn't have much scope and those tear jerking scenes made me cringe. But no doubt she was beautiful back then as she is now. However if you are searching for her best performances, I suggest 'love aaj kal' and 'karthik calling karthik'.

None of the Indian actresses I have seen are anywhere near the level of A-list Hollywood actresses.
