Well said. It's a novel "new" virus so the CDC doesn't exactly know the perfect way to combat it. They're trying different things with pressure coming from both sides, and they're only human. But they are supposed to be experts and need to stick to science and not political agendas. They need to figure this shit out though and stop worrying about saving face. Their credibility is already being questioned so at this point they need to make their recommendations without being coerced.
Eventually this will all be in our rearview mirror. Personally I'm more afraid of the way people have reacted during all this. The level of panic over a virus with a 99% survival rate was just ridiculous. It gave everybody a taste of how bad people are when you introduce fear. Imagine if there's a virus with a 20% or 30% death rate. There will be mass hysteria.
It doesn't help that the media is right there throwing fuel on the fire. That's who I'm really aggravated with. Those assholes in the news, creating even more panic just to get people to watch their channel. They are the worst!
