He has aged very well. I remember when I saw Doug Hutchison as Eugene Tooms in 'The X Files' I assumed he was only in his 20s but was surprised when I found out that he was 33 at the time he filmed both of his episodes.

You missed the point. No one is saying that 36 is supposed to look old, it's just that Robin looks incredibly young. He could pass for mid to late 20's.
