Great on Letterman

Quirky and vivacious

reply

She was very open & engaging, though Dave didn't give her much help. The fencing story was fun; not hard to imagine her doing it and scaring petite opponents!

Must say she looked heavy in close-up... pregnant? She's no waif (which is great!), & her longish hair and radically black&white dress seemed to cause some of it.

Also, would rather see her interviewed by Craig Ferguson, who has a much better way with young women.

Actually, Ferguson has much more respect, on a comedic level, than Letterman.

That's undoubtedly a large part of why women like him. Didn't start watching 'til a couple years ago. Tuned in only when there was nothing else on... then saw how Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, and others lit up when they talked to him. Have never seen Bell so animated and funny, and Mila was wackily hilarious, the time she brought in a coffee cup she painted for him in a ceramics class. Ariel Tweto is wonderful on the show, sweet, natural and unguarded... which might be a mistake with a snarky/mean host like Letterman was a decade or two ago, but Craig treats her with respect & affection, makes it safe for her to be herself.
