Pretty face Mediocre actress Hope Davis lite

I used to think Hope Davis was slightly overrated because she spent a lot of her career in indie movies as the pretty if a tad insecure one. I did like her a lot in American Splendor but the rest of her roles were a tad on the bland side.

Greta Gerwig looks like someone trying to fill that niche for the new generation. She is prettier than Hope Davis but a weaker actress. She makes Hope Davis seem like an oscar winner by comparison. No range at all.

I don't think Greta is at all prettier than Hope Davis, and Hope Davis is a far superior actress.

Have you checked out some of Gerwig's bombs, and uber-ultra-over-rated piece of nothing about a girl working as a "production assistant" bonking both her boss, and then his business partner? It was beyond lane. If I were her, I'd use a pen name for the writer and director of that waste of celluloid.

And for them to call her "the beautiful lesbian" that Al Pacino's character falls in love with in their soon-to-be released film, PLEASE. She vacillates between extremely plain-looking and plain ugly.

"Hannah Takes The Stairs" (2007) is the garbage she wrote.

"The Humbling" (2015) is her upcoming film with Al Pacino.
