With which film did you become a Greta Gerwig fan?

I find it interesting to see the various points in a career for when their fans start liking them.

I am not a true fan yet, but I am getting over the fence so-to-speak. I hated her in Hannah Takes the Stairs and Greenberg.
However, she won me over in Damsels in Distress - she was good in that. And I liked her enough in To Rome with Love and Lola Versus.

So my answer is Damsels in Distress, what about you?

And now, to ride Mrs O'Reilly!

I mostly liked her right away in Hannah. The big scene at the end when they talk about depression was really emotional.

But I think it was Yeast where I really came to like her. That movie and everyone in it is so unlikable, yet she was still so damned likeable even when she was being nasty.

I liked her when I first saw her in "Greenberg" but fell in love after watching her in "Arthur."

She was also great in "Lola Versus." Fine in "No Strings Attached."

Hannah Takes the stairs. Then i loved her in everything she did.

Damsels. That movie is sort of like a highbrow Mean Girls that I watched about 100 times.

House of the Devil. She had limited screen presence but pretty much stole the scenes she was in.

I think she has great screen presence, and is a refreshing young actress, sort of a more talented version of Zooey Daschanel. She's a real charmer.
