I don't get music like this?
Is this what you play instead of running the water tap when you think you house is bugged and you are having a confidential conversation with someone you don't want to be overheard?

shareNO...IT'S JUST GOOD MUSIC.
shareIf you don't understand it, go listen to Taylor Swift.
shareWhat make you think I understand Taylor Swift?
What makes you think I would want your moronic opinion?
JFC, I'm just trying to help you and you get angry.
You said you "don't get" Joy Division.
I'm merely saying try something less complex like Taylor Swift. Another option might be Britney Spears. There are also several boy bands.
You're implying Joy Division is complex. I don't think so.
It's not complex to go around with the goal of trying get people angry either,
so why would I let someone like that provoke me.
You said you don't "get it". Joy Division was never a very popular band with the masses. They never had a top 40 hit. I just assumed you prefer accessible pop music.
And you called me "moronic". I didn't insult you.
Why assume that? You must have a very limited understanding of music groups and genres. I think you'd be more honest to say that because I said I don't like music you like you had to try to attack me in some way.
I remember hearing their first album and not caring for it. I don't even listen to Top 40 stuff since I was out of my teens. I used to listen to FM radio back when it was the alternative, and then it got commercial and boring and stupid, and that's where most of it has been ever since. Not to say there are not a few select song I think are interesting.
JD just seems like blah 80's music. In that genre there's some stuff I liked. Men At Work, which was popular music, Flock Of Seagulls, The Police, the Cars were popular, but mostly one-off hits of different groups. JD is the rare group where I cannot find really anything that interests me. I like world music, and oddly enough I like Arabic and African music, ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFZobgLF5Vc ) again very selective. English and Irish folk music, Steeleye Span, John Renbourne, Martin Carthy, Bert Jansch mostly came from my love of Jethro Tull. Early Al Stewart used to be fantastic.
I said your behavior as reflected in your comments was moronic. I don't know for sure, maybe you just give no thought to what you write and react totally emotionally online, but you could be completely different when you actually give stuff some thought. You did say "I'm just trying to help you and you get angry."
That is about the time I quit listening to rock radio and went into jazz and classical. I am also very selective about jazz as well. I like stuff that has melody, harmony and rythym, a beat. Since then I even enjoy way old stuff, but very selective too.
