Very important question: Will the production's insurance cover this?
Basically, nothing happens on Hollywood productions without insurance. If a production isn't insured, it doesn't get financed. If an actor is too unreliable or unhealthy to have an excellent chance of being able to work through a long production, they aren't insurable... and if an actor isn't insurable then they aren't employable.
So, this is a great big test case for the whole industry: If an actor on a long production refuses to get a vaccine and then gets the disease that could have been prevented or mitigated by the vaccine... will the insurance cover expenses related to his absence?
Because if the insurance refuses to pay up, then suddenly every anti-vaxx actor in Hollywood is unemployable, as of that decision... because nothing, NOTHING, happens in Hollywood unless it's okay'd by the production insurance companies! I shall follow this case with interest, because it could mean that Hollywood will become like healthcare and other industries, refusing to employ anyone who isn't vaccinated.
