Glee Cast Didn’t Want Dianna Agron in Cory Monteith Tribute — Report
We were shocked to hear that original Glee cast member Dianna Agron (Quinn) won’t appear in this week’s Glee Season 5, Episode 3, a tribute to Cory Monteith. Last week, Glee creator Ryan Murphy alluded to a possible reason why. But now we’re hearing a report of another, more drama-filled explanation.

Radar Online is reporting that Dianna’s absence had nothing to do with Dianna no longer being a regular cast member. Instead, the site says that Dianna’s character Quinn wasn’t written into the tribute episode because members of the cast and crew didn’t want her there.

A source says that both Lea Michele (Rachel) and show creator Ryan Murphy “intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalize her as much as possible.” Yeah, we’ll let that sink in. “They never saw her as a team player,” the insider continues, and “they simply did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode.”

“It’s shocking [that Dianna isn’t in the episode], because even though she’s not contracted for this season, many other actors returned to pay tribute to Cory… even ones with less of a story connection to Finn than Dianna had!” the source says. “Remember, she played his girlfriend on the series, and was a major part of his storyline.” Don’t worry: We remember.

Ryan had seemingly offered a more diplomatic reason for Dianna not being included when he said last week that any cast members who really wanted to be involved could have contacted him about it. For her part, Dianna previously said she was “surprised” to not be asked to appear in the tribute.

So bearing in mind that this report might not have much truth to it, what do you think of the rumor? Given that Quinn was such a key figure in Finn’s storyline, it would make sense that something big, like a strong personality difference, is behind Dianna’s absence. So do you wish Dianna and the show had put their differences aside? Or do you trust Ryan and Lea’s judgment here?

If it's true that they ban her from this tribute episode... I'll be seriously pissed. They have NO RIGHT to meddle with the logic of the story because of some personal issue with one of the actress who plays such an important character as Quinn!!

The way how that statement is worded. Makes it sound that Lea Michele is sleeping on Ryan Murphy's casting couch.

It also makes it sound (due to the comment that they simply did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode) like her and Ryan Murphy are expoliting Cory's death.

I kept hopping that she would be the person who stole the jacket. She was her quarterback/cheerios girlfriend. Would have made perfect sense. All that was needed was a walkaway seen from the window someone noticing and saying "I found the jacket" ..... maybe turn back from a distance but we would have known it's her with short blond hair.
Addressing the the Lea/Dianna dislike, that's not all the pictures in the past shows. Ended so badly?! Was this more important than Cory.
This was a bit of a scorn.

Quinn and Brittany were sorely missed in the tribute episode to Finn. It put a stain on what was otherwise an excellent remembrance.
