I think he'd be a mistake. I have a suspicion that Newsom would be like a liberal version of Ron DeSants. Looks good on TV but performs badly on the campaign trail outside his own state. They are better off with someone else like Andy Beshear or Josh Shapiro.

A lot of people have an anti-California bias, but if those people were to actually drop their prejudice and listen to him, I think they would have no problem supporting him (unless they're dyed-in-the-wool repubs, of course).

We have the highest taxes, highest gasoline prices, most illegal aliens, most homeless, highest cost of living, terrible schools, horrible crime-ridden cities, and worst business conditions. He's trying to force windmills and solar power on us, which is making the cost of electricity almost unaffordable. He has blocked every attempt to transport and store water within the state. He has backed a hundreds-of-billions-of-dollars "high speed" rail project that has gone nowhere and will not be high speed. He has squandered billions on the homeless, but the problem only gets worse. He backs pro-criminal policies that have sent the crime rate skyrocketing. He's a phony, a hypocrite, a liar, and a crook. He's nothing but a greasy haired creep who has no business running anything.
