My thoughts on it: first, I've always liked Maroon 5. I'm more of an oldies fan (music of the 50s-70s) and only liked a very small select group of modern bands; Maroon 5 being one of them. But I never crushed or idolized Adam Levine and after following groups like The Beatles, Elvis, others I am completely of the understanding that celebrities cheat. I don't care how loving they are to their wives or how sweet they seem, you have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. But if you're rich, famous and have access, you're going to cheat. I'm not condoning it; not saying it's right and I would hate if I was his wife right now but come on....people who are really surprised at his behavior or REALLY naïve. He's not the first celebrity to do it and not the last.
As for the Sumner woman (and all the supposed other women) I don't buy half her story. She comes off like she's looking for clout and she comes off as jealous. It sounds like they MAY have had one physical meeting based off her DMs showed but that could have been as simple as meeting at a concert or some sort of press junket/runway show. I think she's making the story to be way more than it actually was and I think she's doing it for views. The fact she chose to out Lavine by saying she 'had an affair with a man married to a Victoria Secret Model' as opposed to 'I had an affair with a married rock star' is all that needs to be said there. Her trying to play the victim by saying she was manipulated, young and new to LA. Girl, the DMs were from less than a year ago which means if she is 23 now it happened when she was 22. She knew what she was doing. So I rather not give her any more exposure than she's already got; she's not worth it. As I said before, He's not the first to cheat and not the last; this isn't the 1990s where tabloid fodder like this was career ruining amazing news.
It's also coming out that she, personally, tried shopping around the story before going public. I don't believe there was a friend trying to sell the story. It's all so stupid. MAYBE she wanted something and he wasn't willing to give it to her but I don't think it's manipulation. Manipulation on HER part as it almost looks like blackmail but I really hope she disappears back into the instagram hole she crawled out from. Because she only cared about herself and not the pregnant wife who now has to deal with this BS.
As for Levine himself, like I said, never idolized him. I sense he had an attitude. He comes off as the type of guy who cheats. I think he even admitted to doing so in the past. You go into a relationship knowing thing. But whatever the truth is, that's between him and his wife. Maybe they have an understanding to an open marriage? maybe she divorces him. That's between them. But I just think cheating scandals are really old and ridiculous. It's not going to change my mind on their music at all.
but I will say Adam was an idiot. What idiot uses his check marked social media to DM models (cough hookers cough) and act like a player that they can easy keep receipts for. dumbass.
