Smith Is Playing 'Dr.Who' For Laughs - Fact!

Those of us unimpressed by Matt Smith's portrayal ( if that's the right word ) of 'Dr.Who' have been roundly insulted each time we've opened our mouths here on I.M.D.B. and elsewhere. Our main criticism of him is that he is treating the character like a joke - spinning round the TARDIS with a sonic screwdriver in his hand, pulling faces, and talking tripe. "Nonsense!", the Moffat fanboys have claimed. "He is the best actor ever to have played the role! You just cannot see it!".

Now, in an interview in the Radio Times, Smith has gone on record as saying his 'Doctor' is a hybrid of Rowan Atkinson in 'Blackadder', Michael Crawford in 'Some Mothers Do Ave Em', and Peter Sellers in the 'Pink Panther' films.

In other words, he has been playing the role for laughs - which is what we have been saying all along.

Had David Tennant said he had played 'Who' for laughs, the Moffat fanboys could not have complained. They would have though. They're like that.

Please, back to your Tennant shrine little man.

This show has always been greater than the sum of it's part, the Doctor included.

...none the less, rest assured, this Doctor to will regen, and then you can rebirth your pathetic man child tears once again.

note: I liked Tennant to, but more importantly I still like the Doctor.

To be fair, that's what you mindless, sad Smith-haters deserve.

And anyway you can't open your mouth on an internet forum, that's not possible, silly dunce.

Congratulations to Miranda Hart and Colin Morgan for winning Best Drama Performance Awards at last night's N.T.V. Awards, thereby depriving Smith and Gillan of wins, and consequently preventing the Moffat fanboys from being more insufferable and pompous than usual. In the same way it took an awfully long time for the truth to come out about Jimmy Saville, it will take a long time for them to admit that Smith is just not credible as The Doctor.

Colin Morgan is excellent and deserve the win, even if it isn't up against Smith and Gillan.

He doesn't play Dr.Who.....

He is the Doctor.
