Sad he is leaving :(
Yes I know he has had an amazing run as the Doctor, but I don't think it his time to leave yet. I don't know, maybe it's just me though. I am going to miss him. Don't go!

shareHe was a very energetic and caring Doctor. He was great in the role. But each doctor is only allowed to be on for so long.
That, and he probably doesn't want to get type cast strictly as that single character.
I find it strange that there have been no interviews of Matt, since the announcement of him leaving. None that I have seen anyways.
shareHe'll be on Craig Ferguson July 24th (I think). I get this feeling he's either been laying low after the announcement or just busy with finishing filming How to Catch a Monster and remembering he can now have a life.
What do we want?
Time travel!
When do we want it?
It's irrelevant!
I am going to miss him also. he is my favorite doctor.
shareMatt is by far my favourite Doctor, and I'm sad to see him go, but totally excited for his post-who career. Best of luck to him!
shareHe truly is a GREAT Doctor!! I loved his run on the show and I'm sure I will be sad when the final episode airs.
It's really funny... I started watching Who w/ the Eccleston series and was really bummed when he left at the end of series 1. I honestly thought I wasn't going to watch the show after seeing Tenant pop on the screen. However I quickly came to be a real fan of David's and hated seeing him go! At first sight of Matt I thought "I'm not going to like this guy", yet I have found him to be as good/great as David and Christopher were! They are all great guys, great actors, and great Doctor Who's!!
Best of luck to Mr. Smith once his Who run ends. I hope to see him in some great projects soon!

From the interview at the live event, it felt like he didn't really wanted to leave at all. Given not that long before the anouncement there had been some comments of his wich indicated that he would still be the Doctor next season. So maybe he was indeed forced out. Anyway, I would have liked to see more of his Doctor, as I would have liked to see more of David Tennants. Sadly there can only be one Doctor.
shareI feel like it's too early for him to go. I remember hating him first when he was cast, errrrrrrr. I'm so angry.
