Good actor but takes himself way too seriously in interviews

Watch a few interviews of him, he has the Harrison Ford attitude without actually being Harrison Ford. I agree it works with some people, but with him it makes him come across as a douche if you have the attitude but don't have the supermassive success to go along with it.

Examples: "Saoirse Ronan Tells the Story of Domhnall Gleeson Getting His 'Star Wars' Role " YouTube interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKotNPJ_NHc

"Brooklyn (2015) - Sundance Film Festival World Premiere Q&A " YouTube interview with that 15 minute arm cross: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whwVljtlvn0

"Emory Cohen Talks 'Brooklyn' - @hollywood " YouTube interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOHQD3R6mLM

You'll be great and known in a lot of households one day but until that time it just reeks of "I'm that guy who can't have any fun because I'm just suchhh a good actor to care about anything else". I.e. Russell Crowe/Harrison Ford without the actual resume. Definitely the talent though.

Yes he is way too serious in his interviews but it's undeniable that he is very very good actir. He was awesome in Brooklyn and deserved more recognition.

It is so hilarious though. And don't the really talented actors tend to be crap during interviews? In any event, 'do your job, survive' is my new motto for benign things like cooking or binge watching.😸

Wildcattin'...Wildcattin'. Pow! I'm gonna go.

Harrison Ford has always had that cocky grumpy attitude even before he was massively famous. I agree he somehow pulls it off with charm, though. I noticed lots of actors that admit they suffer from general or social anxiety (DeNiro, Depp) usually give poor interviews or one word replies. We see it as funny or cool only because we have watched their movies for years.

Cohens just being himself, and seems to have a bit of anxiety. Not great for doing interviews, but can't really hate on a guy for just being his genuine self and not trying hard to be liked by putting on a fake smile and personality. Great actor, but it's a shame that his personality might sway people away from seeing his stuff.
