Really, how does he have a career?
I mean, aside from his funny recreation of the Footloose dance in Hot Rod, this guy is absolutely abysmal, like watching an eight-grade talent show reject, or a high school nerd who thinks everything he says is hilarious. He just makes a wacky face than says something just so lame and not funny or witty in the slightest. The Lazy Sunday video with Parnell was clever, but that Lazer Cats/Punched In The Face stuff were the worst videos I've seen on SNL, and for that show that's saying something. I guess being out of L.A. made his videos stand out to Lorne Michaels and got him his break - or Michaels was complacent beyond belief when he hired him (have you seen Samberg's audition tape, where he does that 'runner in 1982' impression by - get ready for this - referring to things happening in 1982 while out of breath! Can you believe it?! Fantastic! Way to pass up people like Jim Carrey for that!). You can call me jealous or whatever you like, but even Adam Sandler was funny in the early days before going downhill; this guy was already there and stayed there. So, so bad...
