Harrow on Boardwalk Empire
Just saw him on BE and he kicked arse! Kudos Mr. Huston!
Om.....
He blew me away tonight on BE and stole the scenes from Pittman. I look forward to seeing his character and his future gigs.
shareHe definitely had the scene of the series so far, in my opinion. The sniper scene is what won me over for the show.
Great job, Jack!
the sniper scene was ok. not great. the bullet passing thru the window was believable but thru the window and thru the pitcher as well and still being on target seemed to stretch credibility. the pitcher being inconsistent thicknesses is going to cause far more of a deviation of flight, you cant judge the glass of the pitchers effect as consistently as with the windows glass. granted the shot appeared to only be 100 yards or less and the window and pitcher seemed to only be 10 feet from the guy, i still think defection would have been worse. not to mention the water or icecubes( if there were any, i forgot to look for them) would also effect flight.
basically my gripe is that the pitcher as well as the window was lame. it could have been done with just the window and been just as good of a scene.
that said, i absolutely love the character. doing what he did back in the war is theraputic for him, like he needs to kill people. he takes pride in it and a job well done makes him feel whole again.

you forgot to mention that a bug could be seen on the window that wasnt found in the US until it hitched a ride on a boat from Australia in the 1970s.
I look at my red hands and my mean face, and I wonder about that man that's gone so wrong
the bug wouldnt have appreciable effect on trajectory, if he had hit it.
shareI can tell someone has been watching the movie 'Shooter' too many times...
Only on the internet do people act like they are everything from the President of the United States, Special Forces, or gun experts. You're no Carlos Hathcock, and frankly, the glass pitcher was put in there to show how good of a shot he was. Not everything has to be exactly like it would be in real life. It's a TELEVISION SHOW! Some suspension of reality is to be expected.

you make fun of me, but tell me things dont have to be how they would be in real life? you admit, in a round about way, that the scene was unrealistic. im not a gun "expert", but im close enough.
shareNo, you're not a gun expert, and for that matter, you're not even close. The scene was accurate enough, and this is TELEVISION, not Future Weapons. The glass was added in to show how good he was, nothing more. You're looking into this WAY TO MUCH.
