He is the new Ben Hur. Too bad.

He has been cast in the Ben Hur remake. I was hoping for Tom Hiddelston, but he passed on it.

I DONT NEED A "NEW" BEN HUR. THE 1959 AND EVEN THE 1926 VERSIONS ARE PERFEKT.
the new one will be a CGI overloaded crap - that will be sure. Already the TV 2-Part Remake is forgettable.

Kermit the frog would have been a better casting choice then this chump, he has as much charisma as a teabag.

Pretty Much.

Too bad, becasue Huston deserves better. He is very talented, and I wish he would get famous with a better movie. Perhaps a Coen brothers or Paul Thomas Anderson film.
Not with a blockbuster from the director of "Wanted".

The too bad is because frankly, without the family name, he is crap. His acting is mediocre at best. He played the gimp pretty well on Boardwalk, but his other stuff has been dismal.

Yeah, too bad your worthless opinion isn't shared by the majority who have seen Huston act and the producers of Ben-Hur.

And Richard Harrow wasn't a "gimp"...he was a badass soldier tormented by the war and the lose of half his face.

admittedly I haven't seen this Jack Huston guy in anything, but I've seen Tom Hiddleston as Henry V in the Hollow Crown. So can someone explain or give evidence as to how on earth this guy is as good or better as an actor?? Once again Hollywood screws up!

The transformations are seemless.

EDIT:

I recommend watching Boardwalk Empire. He is terrific in that.
