It's because he IS.

I'm tired of people using him as a "cautionary tale", what's done is done & people need to let it go. I think the last 2 years Alex has been doing a lot of personality/reputation rehab & if people notice, like you did, they'll see that he's not a gigantic dick.

I think people made things regarding Alex bigger than they actually were & it would be nice if they would move on from it. He's a good actor & I think a good person...they need to stop making him the guy everyone loves to hate.

I don't think we've seen the last of him yet:) he will shut his haters up, I just know it.
