shareI have my doubts about him getting casted purely because of his reputation. He stated on Bret Ellis' podcast that the Hunger Games filmmakers were reluctant to cast him because he was unreliable and risky. I wonder if Marvel will think the same?
shareI think he did the podcast for that reason, to clean up his reputation; some on all the bad reference about him were gossip and if somenthing was a reality much of them was distorted, he didn't denies about some bad decisions. I hope with the movie ElvisNixon he can restart in the industry, he worked with great actors and there's no trace about he had problems in this movie 😃
Hope I can watch him as a super heroe, I think he has the style.
Haven't heard anything about the superhero thing, except the random Lee Daniels mention about making a gay super hero film & having Allex star as one 1/2 of the super hero couple...nothing about the Netflix show, but I hope something like this becomes a reality.
I don't understand the hate & vitriol Alex receives...this is an older comment, but I was prompted to reply bc of the 1st comment. No, Alex never said in the Bret Easton Ellis podcast that he was "unreliable & risky", if you heard THAT, you need a better grasp on the English language or to pay attention when someone is speaking. Alex stated that when he started in the acting business he was very young, he had little guidance from family during this time, he was basically a kid, then a teen in this industry & didn't have anyone saying, "hey, maybe don't do that or this..." So Alex was a "free range" teen, on movie sets, making bad decisions.
And not a SOUL will let him live that down. Which is pretty hypocritical of people. Tell me, were you perfect as a teen commentor #1? Did you make all perfect & sound decisions? Or did your parents make them for you?
I think people forget just how stupid teenagers are & how bad their decision making skills are at this time. Alex stated that because he had very little guidance & family issues, he made bad decisions & that prompted studios to think he was risky & unreliable. He's doing his best to rehabilitate his rep, an undeserved rep if you ask me & it pisses me off that people won't let decisions he made as a TEENAGER/Tween GO.
It's like, well, he made some bad choices from ages 13-19, best to write him off forever...REALLY? If you feel like that, I wouldn't want to be your kid. Also, but of advice here, maybe you shouldn't believe every thing you read online or in gossip mags...
I'm happy & excited for Alex & wish the best for him, he just wrapped a new film, he's co-executive producing a biopic with JLo for HBO...he's got things going on...screw the haters, you people need to find someone else to pick on or at least get fredh material , but that would be a problem wouldn't it? Considering Alex hasn't had ANY negative press written about him in 6+ years? That magic mike stupidity? Sorry, not a Channing Tatum fan, don't care what he thinks or believe what he says...plus, CT? That's a terrible actor if there ever was one
Jupiter ascending, rising, flopping...anyone?
