Chloe Grace Moretz to star in 'The Miseducation of Cameron Post'

Chloë Grace Moretz To Star In Pic Based On ‘The Miseducation Of Cameron Post’

Chloë Grace Moretz has been set as the lead of The Miseducation Of Cameron Post, an indie based on Emily Danforth’s hot-button 2012 coming-of-age novel about a young girl who is forced into a gay conversion therapy center. Desiree Akhavan, who wrote, directed and starred in the Sundance pic Appropriate Behavior, has come aboard to direct. She also adapted the screenplay with Cecilia Frugiuele.

American Honey star Sasha Lane also stars alongside Moretz. John Gallagher Jr., Forrest Goodluck and Jennifer Ehle co-star. Beachside and Parkville Pictures are producing the indie, with Beachside fully financing. UTA is repping domestic rights.

Danforth’s novel centered on Cameron Post (Moretz), a 12-year-old Montana girl who is sent to live with her ultra-conservative aunt after her parents die in a crash. She develops a relationship with her best friend, who happens to be the prom queen, and is sent to a “de-gaying” camp that offers conversion therapy.

Michael B. Clark, Alex Turtletaub and Jonathan Montepare are producing alongside Frugiuele. Olivier Kaempfer and Akhavan are executive producers.

I know. They have seen her on set some weeks ago.
And the novel is the role of a life, believe me.
I really wish her good luck and all the best.

Didn't knew that they already started shooting this.

They are almost done shooting. They'll finish today or tomorrow and have been shooting in Upstate New York for almost month now.

Finally it's "official" :)

I made a thread about it 2 week ago here:

Going to be a very masculine 12-year-old, so I guess it fits that she's playing a lesbo. And how come she always plays somebody who is orphaned? Does Chloe secretly wish her parents were dead?

But, to be serious here, this means those silly talk shows will be inviting Chloe on to talk about the movie, but you know what they're REALLY going to ask her about: her reaction to this election. She will undoubtedly stick her foot in her mouth by sharing her biased opinions of Hillary and her unfounded dislike of Trump, thus inciting anger and probably destroying any success this movie will have. That's Chloe. She's very problematic when it comes to feminism and politics. She'll go on TV, rave about Hillary, put down Trump, and the movie will be hurt at the box office. And then Chloe will blame piracy. How do I know all this? Because, much like her movies and her characters, she's predictable.

I've been wondering something...SERIOUS POST HERE, NOT HATING... I'm thinking about Chloe's motive for doing this movie. To spread awareness? OR, maybe it will be her way of publicly coming out? I'm serious. I actually do think Chloe is a lesbian. That could be why she broke up with Brooklyn and why she seems to enjoy female company more than male. This could be her way of going public. Oh, I do pity all her male fans who will be devastated when they hear the news. Those poor lonely boys who thought they'd have a chance with her.
But think about it: Chloe enjoys hanging out with other women, she's had, like, only 2 boyfriends over the last three years, and she's a huge advocate for the LGBT community, she's grown up with two gays in her household and she's an advocate for gay rights. Sure, that doesn't necessarily prove one to be gay, but I wouldn't be surprised if after this movie comes out, Chloe does too.
I'm serious, I think Chloe goes the other way... or maybe she goes both ways. In that case, all you male fans could still have a chance.

Could she be a lesbo?

I'm thinking about Chloe's motive for doing this movie.
She has two gay brothers. That's already motive enough for her being interested in the subject matter.
