I'm Curious, what about the Royals in other European Countries?

US and British tabloid culture feed off each other because we both speak English. The British Royals are a sovereign entity but have zero political control of the U.K.. All of the monarchy related pageantry is symbolic and related to traditional royal events. They're the original "celebrity" before commoners became famous through entertainment and media.

The other European royals fly under the radar because their roles with their own countries are not as recognized save for small fiefdoms like the Prince of Monaco

I have no clue who you're talking about. The crown prince of Denmark never had a regular job, nor has his brother. Neither do any of the the royal offspring in the Netherlands and Sweden.

My immediate guess is that it's because England is by far the most powerful & influential of the European countries to retain its monarchy as figureheads. Historically the British Empire has had immense influence over much of the world. Almost everyone knows of Great Britain. On the other hand, I'm sure the average person in most countries knows little to nothing about Denmark, including the fact that it even has a monarchy.

England was a major world power, colonial power and their royals still have plenty of pomp and ceremony. I think all the drama created by the British press keeps them interesting and popular to the public which Meghan and Harry alluded to.

Monaco's used to be in the news almost as much as Britain's royals because of Princess Grace, and daughters Caroline and Stephanie's many wild antics but it died down.

Spain, Denmark, Sweden, etc. have their controversies, but their tabloids aren't as malicious and they're low key. They have rules, but theur families don't appear to be as dysfunctional. BTW, their royal weddings air live over the internet and are as entertaining as Britain's royal weddings.
