If you look at her resume on here,you notice that she's done a LOT of sci-fi type shows,and that doesn't mean shows just on sci-fi network.
I'd hope that her agent gets her to branch out in some other dramas,assuming that she's not already type casted.

What's wrong with sci-fi? The fans are extremely dedicated, which means once you gain a following from one show, you'll get pulled into parts on other shows, plus there's always work doing conventions-- you're basically never out of work. And they look like some of the funnest shows to work on.
shareIf she's located in Vancouver, it seems that is the location where a lot of sci-fi shows are filmed. So it may be less about being pigeonholed and more about taking advantage of what's going on in her metaphorical back yard.
shareit said in her bio that she likes sci-fi. So, maybe it's her choice to do those shows. i can see why some actors might think it was fun, I think a lot of them aren't pigeonholed; they are genuinely into it.
