Can she possibly fit Ms. Sloane into her schedule?

These comments on Deadline make it sound like a role she can't afford to pass on, but how's the schedule going to work out? The project seems to have everything ready and probably won't be stuck in development hell after the negotiations. If it starts filming this year, can she possibly do it?

Best script in town and a role that any actress would kill for. Every studio in town will want this if they have the balls to tackle this issue.

Arguably the most important subject matter plaguing the homefront right now. Read the script this week, it really masterfully tackles the issue and it’s so smart and surprising by the end. Created some of best characters on the page I’ve read in a long time. Whoever plays the lead actress role will certainly be a top contender for an Oscar… the role is so juicy and ferocious with a lot going on beneath the surface. Really wish there were more roles for women written this well. Hats off to the writer, Film Nation and John Madden on this one..

I recommend people read the script. It’s not didactic or preachy at all. It’s well-dramatized. As good as Sorkin does it. The writer clearly understands both sides and just sees more sense in the advocacy of stricter gun control laws. It’s actually about something. But the issue is more a vehicle for the importance of living with integrity. The sacrifice that may come with it and the power & influence of trying to make a real difference in the face of incredible odds and resistance. There’s something very special here with the right cast. And the script is excellent so I think it will get some incredibly talented actors involved. Especially with such an actors’ director as Madden.
