Carolyn Bessette Biopic

Just wanted to say that after reading a little about Carolyn Bessette, I come to the conclusion that A) she is exactly the kind of fascinating, enigmatic, tragic figure, the biopic concept was made for and B) with long blonde hair and bleached eyebrows, Jessica Chastain - with the aid of her considerable set of acting skills - could be a dead-ringer for her, as well.

Long story short, one of those mini-majors that are so keen on prestige pics, should really look into this. JFK Jr. and Bessette are epic 90s icons who never got a proper big screen treatment and with the right cast (Chastain, Gyllenhaal?), script (Sorkin?) and director (Fincher ? he already seems to be fascinated with Bessette), this could really be something special. Paging Megan Ellison ?

Interesting idea - I think Jessica would play the role perfectly - my only worry is about a biopic on these two. They are so iconic and there was supposedly a lot of drama in their lives that I fear it might turn out more like the Naomi Watts/Nicole Kidman Princess Diana/Princess Grace movies which were widely panned despite both actresses receiving praise for their individual performances. But maybe if in the right hands it could work if the writer didn't turn the story into a melodrama! For some reason writers don't seem to do very well writing scripts about real-life famous women from the 20th century under the age 60. The only decent film I can think of is My Week with Marilyn with Michelle Williams. We'll see how Natalie Portman's Jackie O film turns out!
